Born in the Philippines and raised with strong values of integrity and hard work, John moved to California to pursue his dream of becoming a CPA. He graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Management Information Systems, launching a career that would span Big Four accounting firms and some of the world’s most recognized brands. After establishing himself in the industry, John relocated to Seattle, Washington, where he founded Halal CPA PLLC to serve clients nationwide.

While most CPAs focus solely on tax compliance and bookkeeping, John brings specialized knowledge in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, tax automation platforms, and data analytics—expertise typically found only in large corporations and consulting firms.

John’s commitment to service extends beyond accounting. As a U.S. Army Reserve IT Specialist since 2020, he designs and maintains secure systems supporting mission-critical military operations.
